Tea and Toast

A little exhibition by Auckland University students that took place at the New Lynn shared street space area on the evening of the night market, also added to the excitement of area. The concept is basically to create buzz and interest in the New Lynn area, as it has been accustomed to many grand changes and improvements in terms of infrastructure and accessibility. It is part of the Auckland Heritage Festival and an ode to historic and current New Lynn. Here is a video interview I took of one of the students, Laura, who explains the idea behind the whole project http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GGXL9s252Io#t=40

I also asked Laura about the night market and she said that last Thursday, 8th October, was one of the busiest nights for the market. She also said that even before the set up of the students’ project in the area, the night market had been bustling.

Here are some images of the students’ event.
